Colin Lewis

Originally trained as an aircraft Apprentice and then as a technical Illustrator, later becoming involved in marketing and eventually owned his own Advertising agency. He has sailed almost all his life from small sailing dinghies’ to 50ft cruising and racing yachts, being a past Commodore of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club and a Senior Watchkeeper at Calshot NCI Coastwatch Station.  In his paintings he focuses mainly  in marine subjects in Acrylics and Oils, both in the UK and in Greece where his son runs a successful Yacht Charter business.

Living only two miles from Lepe Country County Park he is much inspired by the views of the Solent in all its different moods as well as the excitement of racing yachts.
